EQUITY INVESTMENTS

The Merenda Group invests in equities which form an important branch to the group’s diversification. The group buys blue chip shares and strongly aligns its buying guidelines and principles to that of Warren Buffet. In our view, Warren Buffet’s company, Berkshire Hathaway, has seen growth far beyond that of any other investment company.

While the Merenda Group also has some highly speculative ASX purchases in its portfolio, these cannot exceed 5 per cent of the group's portfolio value.

The group expects this branch of the business to form a major part of its holdings in the next few years.
